Ok, now let’s get down to business!
1. Warm tones seem to be extremely popular this year
Deep reds, rich browns and softer colors of blonde are all in demand.
Many women are also requesting two to four different shades of a color to give the hair the perception of more depth and to avoid the same color all over the entire head.
2. Bold Vibrant Shades
Another very hot hair coloring trend, is bold, vibrant shades.
Colors such as purple, blue, red and green are seeing a strong reemergence in the hair coloring market.
Many clients are requesting these daring colors mixed in with browns, blacks, reds and blondes to give them a bolder, more original look.
The popularity of these unconventional styles may be attributed to the countless celebrities that have been seen sporting these hues all over magazine covers and tabloids.
Throughout the years, people have sought to mimic the look of their favorite singer or actress and 2012 is no different.
Expect to see this trend continue as long as the people in the spotlight continue to push the boundaries of conventional hair color to the limit, and in some cases, totally off the charts!
3. Believe it or not, -gray- Yes, GRAY!
Probably one of the most surprising colors that we are seeing is gray.
Believe it or not, women are seeing this once dreaded shade through a whole new set of eyes.
One of the hottest trends is “Gray lights” and white/gray bases.
These colors have become very popular with affluent trendsetters and models and the movement is beginning to trickle down to the average person.
Several celebrities have come out strong and proud about their gray colored hair including Lady Gaga and Jamie Lee Curtis
Understanding the unique tactics, trends, and techniques to accomplish beautiful and healthy hair color for seniors is becoming very important.
Beautiful, shiny, natural and /or accents of vibrant shades of hair, can be worn at any stage of the game.
Depending on the individual’s style and image desired, the shape and color of hair can reflect both the personality and enhance class, while still having a “feeling of sass”.
A blend of the two looks, classy and sassy, can create a youthful feel as well as maintaining a feel of elegance and sophistication.
For example, a rich velvety mocha, accented with creamy café au lait shades, with a touch of luminous gold spun pops of brilliance.
This will give the effect of creating beautiful depth and eye-catching details while still having a soft balance that accentuates the clients best features and natural beauty.
It is rare for stylists and colorists, to hear a woman come in, and “ask to look her age”.
It does happen occasionally, however in most cases, women would prefer to look a bit more youthful, yet still maintain a professional image.
It is important to stay cognizant of the new trends and think outside the box with ideas of how to unite current looks into wearable softer effects, that the average daily woman can be comfortable and proud to wear.
AT Chrissy’s, we can create a stunning, modified personal look, for each season, that you will find fun and exciting, and will always be right on the cutting edge of “Classy and Sassy”!
We can “modify’ or “enhance” your current look, by continuing to keep your appearance updated, yet balanced with softness that will keep your image fun and exciting and “never” boring and like I said before, CLASSY & SASSY!
